The Asian Health Literacy Association (AHLA) was founded in 2013 as an independent multinational nongovernmental organization that seeks to understand health literacy levels across Asia from a research, education and policy perspective. The first edition of AHLA conference took place in 2013 Taipei, Taiwan. Since the inception this conference hundreds of health literacy professionals from Asia and the world had the opportunity to attend it and network for various opportunities.
Asia Health Literacy Association (AHLA) along with Chung- Shan Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan committed to Health Literacy have joined their talents and resources to organize the 6th International Health Literacy Conference. Every year we invite world renowned health literacy speakers and this year is no exception as we have already confirmed: Jurgen Pelikan, Kristine Sorensen, Sabrina Kurtz-Rossi, Stephan Van der Broucke, Don Nutbeam, Olayinka O Shiyanbola, and many others.
Keynotes lectures & sessions are given by international health literacy leaders, and series of workshops, oral and poster sessions are held. These foster and encourage further discussions on global health literacy and other pressing global health issues. AHLA conference provides a unique opportunity for participants to meet with leaders in health literacy field and interact with various business executives, hospital chiefs, and other government delegates.
